The mechanics of the rope gag bit elevate the horses nose which causes the withers to follow. As the rider applies more pressure, it causes a break in the poll. The draw cheek and slide is designed to specifically create lift in the front end enabling the horses back end to drive underneath. The rope is a 5/16" quality lariat rope designed for durability.
